I started writing haiku poems several years ago. I don’t remember too well why I started. I do know that I like Japanese anime, so maybe that was the hook that got me writing them.
After all, haiku is just another form of poetry. Granted, it has stricter rules than normal poetry, but it still captures the essence of poetry. I want to enrich your imagination, send a motivational message at times, and also use it as a way to express myself and my creative spirit.
For my clan I stand
Against all those who trample
On our sacred grounds.
I summon you now,
Great goddess of good fortune,
I need some luck quick.
What a lovely sight,
Two creatures side by side,
A cat and a dog.
The more I find out
The less I know the truth –
I’m grasping at straws.
A chilly wind blows,
I hear someone coming in –
The door’s just open.
Years have gone by,
But I’m still too young to die –
What a crazy dream!
A friend is in need,
I support her all the way –
Does this mean true love?
A rescue attempt
Saves the elderly in need,
But where’s my baby?
A lingering voice
Echoing inside my head…
She dreams of me now.
Show me my true fate,
Don’t tell me what I should do,
I’ll find my way home.
Fast arrow is shot,
Not a chink in my armor,
I still bleed to death.
I speak a language,
Words are dancing in my veins,
I have a nice flight.
