poem

How much longer will I have to cry?

Hey there! I’ve written another sad poem to cater to the ache in your heart. Poetry is like music. It can sooth our hearts and minds, and sometimes the sad ones are the ones that appeal to us the most.

It’s just like listening to a sad love song. It makes sense to you. You feel like it’s speaking to you. I hope this new poem does the same.

How much longer will I have to cry?

Telling myself that I can deny

Those feelings I continue to buy.

It’s such ironic that you intend to fly,

When all I wanna do is freakin’ die.

Whispers in the night wake me up,

From the nightmares I want to stop,

But it’s not you beside me,

It’s just the wind smiling at my pain.

Drenched in tears my heart is aching

As the hope inside starts breaking,

I would like to dream of you making

Another try at our relationship.

Your other one is quite tempting,

But who’s the one that’s been craving

For your love when you were sick?

Who’s the one that stood beside you

When no one else knew

Of all the problems you had inside of you?

The love we shared was the best

I don’t know why you’ve put it to a test,

Going out with that person I hate

Thinking I would take the bait,

How on earth could that be great?

My smile is becoming history,

My thoughts are like a mystery,

All the words I use have lost their glitter,

All is lost because you’ve turned into a cheater.

The earth itself is upside down,

My soul itself has left the town.

A blink of an eye is now eternity

While a future for us is just illusory.
